Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Northwest San Antonio
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. We loved the updated feel of the room. The hotel is close to everything we needed. The room was great for our one night stay, but has everything for people staying longer. Will stay here again.

Upon check-in, I asked about the pool and was told that the hot tub's bubbles worked, but not the heater. We were pleasantly surprised by the room size. The King bed was comfy and there was a sofa bed as well. I noticed that we were only given conditioner & lotion, no shampoo. Knowing that my children were going to swim, I found a maid in the hall and asked for one. I noticed that the hallway and elevators were always VERY warm. The room's A/C unit worked well, so there were not any issues in the room. When arriving back from dinner, I asked the Front Desk for additional shampoo for the morning. I was told that they would send someone up with it. When I arrived in the room, I remembered that I needed to see about having the sofa bed turned down and ask for additional pillows. I called back to the Front Desk and was told that it would be about an hour before someone could get up to us. I was also told that the hotel had a "packed house" and that many other guests had been calling and "needing things". At the end of the conversation, I was told it would be closer to two hours. I waited the two hours and called back downstairs. The gentleman told me that they were very busy and were sorry that they couldn't get to me. I'm not sure if the other guest's requests were more important or what. I wouldn't think it would take over 2 hours! In the second phone call, I was told where to find the bedding to make the bed myself. Wow. If I would have been told this 2 hours ago, I could have made the bed and avoided the conflict. THREE AND A HALF hours later, I received the shampoo and pillows. I had already made the bed. While checking out the next morning, the gentleman at the Front Desk listened to my frustrations. He said that he could see why anyone would be upset from the previous evening, but couldn't do anything about it. Note to self: never again. ...

One of the nicest hotel in San Antonio perhaps due to the new hotel feel (was less then a year old) very spacious & comfortable rooms, only bad thing was checkout time was 11am & paying extra $ for a pullout sofa. Other then that it was a great experience & very friendly staff that was very helpful to your needs. Thank you holiday inn for a very enjoyable weekend in SA!!

Close to the main freeway but not too close to hear highway noise. The breakfast was free to children 12 and under which was a wonderful surprise. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and all the comforts of home.

Please beware that hotel room can be very loud if you have neighbors above you. Floors do not seem to be made of concrete so you can hear your neighbor walking around or their kids running around. We have kids and had to constantly remind them to walk quietly. Other than that the hotel is new and clean.

Very close to park, restaurants, etc., almost new (opened late 2011), with mini-fridge and microwave. Standard rooms with no sofa-bed so traveling with more than one or two kids gets complicated.
