Holiday Inn Manassas - Battlefield

Hotel is less than 1/2 hour from dulles, a short drive to National park and wineries. A short drive to unique restaurants and quaint towns. I thought it was in a good location.

The hotel is in a great location for shopping.

We were coming out of Hurricane Sandy and needed a hotel for the night. This hotel was clean and warm! We had a great night's rest and a nice breakfast the next morning. Exactly what we needed.

This hotel was great for an over-night stop after a concert at Jiffy Lube Live, especially on a rainy night. The front desk staff was attentive and very friendly at check in and check out. Our room was temperature was great and the room was nicely decorated and very clean, which I appreciate.

The room we were in had holes in the floor you could feel through the carpet. We were given a bottle of half used shampoo. The hair dryer came off of the wall when I tried to use it, and was not plugged in. One of the pillowcases was dirty and the pillows were very small. Hotel staff was attentive, cordial, and helpful. The room was decked out in attractive bedding and plenty of pillows. As a germophobe, I noticed and appreciated that the remotes had been cleaned (although I always clean them again myself). I did not like the Mitsubishi AC unit: it was difficult to regulate for the right temperature - always too warm or too cool. Also, the obvious broken elements should have been fixed before we entered the room: a broken bathroom sink faucet (detached from the vanity); and a light socket with bulb that was just dangling from the lamp base. The hotel offered a continental breakfast that was really a complete breakfast: eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, apples, cereal, etc. Lovely servers constantly attended to us to remove dirty dishes, refill coffee, etc. Note to first time visitors: this hotel is sometimes confused for the other chain hotel – be sure to mention battlefield.
