Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Melbourne-Viera Conference Ctr
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 10, 2013

I know this isn't the Ritz, but I expected more, and was disappointed. It was nothing huge, but a series of little things that bug you as you're laying in bed, you know? The rust on the ironing board and the shower head, the dents in the drywall, and the missing paint. I couldn't get the TV remote to change channels- I spent 5 minutes looking for a cable box, changing the input, etc, and I couldn't get it to work. Then at 9:30 pm the front desk called to check on my stay (which seemed to late to me, but whatever). I told her about it, and she said yes, that doesn't work in the hotel. You have to punch in the number of the channel you want. Kinda annoying since I didn't know any of the stations. And very annoying that there weren't any signs to that effect anywhere. Finally, The hotel has a restaurant, so breakfast wasn't free. That's the decision they made, I got it, it's just not the norm, and was a slight annoyance. Finally, the sign in the bathroom that lists prices for stuff if you take it felt like an insult to me. Like towels, comforter, iron, clock. Is the problem of theft in your hotel really that bad that you have to thrust that on all the rest of us? When I come back to Melbourne, I'll stay somewhere else. ...

Definetely not a 3 star hotel more like a 2 or 2 1/2 star. I would have been so disappointed if I had paid their normal
xxx room rate. Breakfast is NOT included. We only got a coupon for $5.99 breakfast special because we complained about problems in the room to the night person on the front desk, who was very nice. The size of the room was nice, but nothing special. The cove molding was coming loose around one corner. Nice flatscreen TV. Bed was comfortable though there was a long hair in it probably left by the maid. Internet was slow and I kept getting kicked off. No exhaust fan in the bathroom and vanity base was unfinished 2X4s. When we went down for our "free" breakfast we saw 3 little bugs about the size of an ant, but not ants, crawling on the table. Waitress didn't know what to do about it. Surely this is not what you would expect from a Holiday Inn, and especially from a 3 star hotel. ...

Choose to have breakfast at the hotel; it's more convenient and price/quality wise it probably beats the restaurants outside.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Easy on and off the FWY. Stores and restaurants within a 2 minute drive. Wonderful bed and shower. Key card was horrible to use but we were only there for one night. Everything was very clean and staff very pleasant.

I am in the travel industry. Stayed at many, many hotels and hard to believe this is a 3 star hotel. The rooms seem to be run down. Walls really need a cleaning and the smell is awful. TV not a clear picture on any channels. This hotel staff does not seem to like Priceline customers, our impression anyways. When we were given our room, the front desk called us and I explained to him of the wet walls, wet carpets, and heavy smell. He came to our room and gave us keys to another room that he called a suite. We tipped him for his kindness and his time to come give us new keys. When we got to the room the keys didn't work and had to go back down to get new ones. We were very disappointed that the new room was really no different from the first one, and surprised this is what their suites look liked. When checking out I asked for a receipt and I was told that they don't give Priceline customers receipts. First time I didn't get a receipt when asked for one and I am a frequent Priceline customer. This is the first time we have been disappointed with a hotel stay through Priceline. ...
