The hotel met our expectations as far as cleanliness and location. Had to walk a bit to get to our attractions but wasn't bad and subway station was a block away.
Urzula at the front desk was not pleasant. Priceline booked us two full size beds which were small and we asked her if we can upgrade to gueen or king and she said "no you can't" in quite a rude voice. I highly doubt they were booked and unable to upgrade

If you bid with priceline and get this hotel just make sure they book you a big enough bed and don't expect to be able to upgrade when you get there just in case the hotel refuses.

Location was excellent.
We were well pleased with the hotel.

We loved the hotel. It was in a great location. The staff let us check in early. We ate breakfast at the hotel several days and it was very good. We had no problems or complaints at all. Excellent deal for the money and we would stay again.

Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Location was superb for subway access.
The hotel is older and they are in the process of remodeling. The remodeled rooms are supposedly requested in advance and not typically available at check in. The outlets were so loose that it was hard to find one that could hold a plug in.

After the first night, we woke to find them on a scaffolding directly outside our window. That was fine until they began drilling on the side of the building right outside our room. I called the office and they promptly moved us to the other tower. It would have been nice if they had known the areas under construction and not booked that room. The front desk manager was quick to move us and without being asked, reduced our nightly rate and provided us free breakfast tickets. Standard size beds are no longer adequate. Not enough hooks for towels, etc.

The Hotel was very clean. The food in the restaurant was good. The staff very friendly and helpful.

Very good room , big , clean and warm .
The bathroom was not as big as the room . Hotel has a notvery good location 2 big blocks from subway and far from restaurants.

Hotel in NYC is always difficult : Very expensive and very small rooms , and this Holliday Inn has big rooms for not so much expensive rates .

The housekeepers were nice and attentive.
Where do I start? Rooms were old and dumpy. Looked like it hadn't been renovated since 1985. Lighting was terrible. Staff didn't alert us to construction that was happening right outside our door starting at 8 a.m. Drilling all morning. Horrible.

Old, sad looking and loud. Not a three-star. Makes me never want to use Priceline again.

I had read some of the reviews for this hotel and was a little nervous. Some of the reviews complained about thin walls and smokey smell. The noises I heard were typical of any hotel. The rooms have been renovated and all the rooms are smoke free room. The hotel was about 5 blocks from the southwest corner of central park. It was about a 10 minute walk from time square. We walked most of the time. It is walking distance to both 8th and 9th Ave and we walked both streets that had alot of restaurants and shopping. I would definately stay there again. ...read more

Staff were very helpful. Location was great. However it did not deserve the 3 stars that Priceline has given at time of stay; air conditioner was not working and was quite uncomfortable.
Yes, dirty carpet in public areas. Best to change to marble, elegant & easy to clean.

Great location and wonderful staff. Bathroom needs exhaust fans and new carpet our extensive cleaning needed on carpets in public areas.
