Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Mobile West-Airport Blvd

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. The hotel's appearance is very good. The lobby is nice and the staff is courteous. Breakfast was very good but not free.
The location is so-so. Yes, it's near the exit off I-65, but the access road getting to it is a little confusing. The roads need to be repaved as well. The walls in the room seem to be paper thin & could easily hear noises (talking & TV) from other rooms.

The hotel is rated 3-star & has a 9 out of 10 rating on Priceline. For that I would expect the rooms to be a little larger & definitely more sound resistant. I was very disappointed how easily I could hear TV sounds and talking from adjoining rooms. Also, there was a major disagreement going on in the hallway late one night with another guest with many expletives being yelled and it seemed to be getting more heated. This was quite concerning considering the quality of this hotel and the security for the other guests, i.e. you don't know if someone has a gun. A staff member did come up and address it with the parties involved and things seemed to calm down afterwards. I would not have expected this type of altercation to take place at a 3-star hotel, maybe a 1-star, but that's difficult for Holiday Inn to control. Previously, I stayed at another hotel (La Quinta Inn & Suites) in Tillmans Corner in Mobile, AL that had a 2.5 star rating. The overall appearance of that hotel is not as nice as the Holiday Inn, but the rooms are much larger and the walls are more sound-proof. I'll be going back there next time since I had a more pleasant visit and it costs a little less than the Holiday Inn. ...read more

Staff very attentive. Like the location of hotel. Not subjected to traffic on Airport blvd. Easily accessed from Dauphin Street.
Free breakfast would be a plus. I travel all over the country and even Hampton Inn provide breakfast for patrons. Can't receive your points when booked through discount websites. Didn't like that at all.

Lots of restaurants nearby. As well as restaurant onsite. I will definitely use again.

The room was spacious and the shower was beautiful!!
A complimentary breakfast would have been perfect.

This hotel has been updated, and is very nice. The room carpet is thick and new, the shower has beautiful stone with inlaid designs in the walls of it. The bathroom is very nice and clean. The flat screen tv is large, and a nice desk to work at. Parking is ample.
