Hotel Guest Reviews of the Wyndham San Diego Bayside

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location, that's ALL!!!
Completely disappointed!! When I drove up the valet was nowhere to be found! I sat there and waited 10 minutes for someone to greet us. He never showed so I went into the hotel.

When I drove up the valet was nowhere to be found! I sat there and waited 10 minutes for someone to greet us. He never showed so I went into the hotel. I told the receptionist that there was no valet, she just said there should be someone there, I told her I waited for 10 minutes and no one showed, she seemed disinterested, so after checking in I went back outside. Still NO ONE AROUND!! So I got in my car and parked it in the closest parking spot available. I walked back in and told the receptionist I just had to park the car myself, so don¿t even think about charging me for valet parking, she didn¿t seem to care. Now for the room. The room was below average, the carpet had stains, the bed was very small!! The water trickled out of the bathroom sink and the shower didn¿t drain, so at the end of your shower you were standing in 2 inches of water. The toilet didn¿t flush right and the blow dryer seem to let out a gentle breeze barely drying your hair. Over all this hotel was terrible!!! I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!! ...read more

Like many hotels in a city, the parking is over-priced and I personally think that parking should be included in your room price. However, as far as city hotel parking goes, it wasn't too terrible. Parking should be park of the price though.

We had a great experience here. It was helpful to read before hand that it was formerly a Holiday Inn, so we were not surprised when we got there. You can definitely tell that it used to be one and that Wyndham has just taken over. The room was really clean and the staff was great. We had a room facing the bay which was great. It will definitely benefit from so renovations, but only because things are a bit older, not because they are dilapidated. The pool was nice and the fitness center wasn't bad for doing a little cardio. It looks like they are getting ready to put some other equipment in there as well. Overall it was a good experience for us and served our needs well. It is walking distance to Little Italy and Gaslamp, so there is plenty to do. ...read more

location, views, easy to ferry to coronado, various freebies like airport shuttle and wifi; having a bar in the hotel is nice bonus

Very pleased with value for the money. Close to the light rail, free wifi and airport shuttle. Half walk to Petco and Gaslamp. 5 minute walk to Coronado shuttle and Midway museum. Staff was professional and took 3 minutes to check in and out. Pool seats 50 and is decent. Really pleased with value for the money. Would certainly stay here again.

Across the street from the harbor and location of the event we needed to attend.
Wasn't very clean and room had a old stench to it.

The rooms are so so. They gave us a room with double beds instead of one king because Priceline doesn't ask you when you go through express deals. Location is fine for families and site seeing tourists. I probably wouldnt stay here again.

Great helpful staff. Hotel is an older Holiday Inn, so it will take some time for the rooms to catch up to the staff.
Walls were "thin"

Great location and views

The room was nice, but horrible view. Our 2nd floor balcony (Rm 246) was even with a low roof with exposed broken pipes and all we could see was the high brick wall about 15 feet across the roof from the balcony.
It was definitely an older building, but nicely remodeled inside.

Great location and great price.

Great location and great views! Friendly staff especially after my rooms air conditioning didnt work they moved me from the south tower to the north tower where the rooms were more up to date and nicer!
The south tower is very old and needs a face lift! My rooms air didnt work but they moved me to a nicer room where the air worked. I called down to the front desk twice for a couple extra pillows but they still never came.

Noisy neighbors. Too busy of an area. Not my thing

Right in downtown. Parking is $24. Thin walls. Noisy street.
