Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Rockford (I-90 Exit 63)
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 5, 2013

If you are in need to a clean place to stay, this is your place. If you are looking for a hotel packed full of amenities and modern furnishings - keep looking. For the price, I would say this place is a bargain and I would probably stay there the next time I travel to the area.

Though the ads said there was a giftshop it was eliminated during remodeling, but the lobby was very comfortable, the restaurant, Hoffman House, known for its Prime Rib roast beef for decades, remains extremely nice. Easy checkin and checkout and we heard no one in other rooms. Everything was clean and eco friendly.

This really didn't meet the 3 star level, more like 2-1/2. The room had been a smoking room and still smelled of tobacco, especially the bathroom. Paint was wearing off the door in the bathroom. It appears that part of the business of his hotel is shuttle service to the airport and the lobby is indicative of a bus terminal. Front desk is off to the side somewhat hidden from the entrance, with staff friendly and welcoming they should be highlighted as the first impression of a the facility. My reviews use a Hampton Inn as a base line. Priceline rates them at 2-1/2 star so I would expect a 3 star to offer everything that Hampton Inn does but slightly better. I was disappointed in this instance. I've used Priceline for 5 years and have been pleasantly surprised by some 2-1/2 star rated properties that were more like 3 star and also disappointed as I was in this case. It was however the first time that I had used the "express deals" though. Maybe I would not be so critical had I named my price and gotten this room at a lower rate. This is not a bad property, just know what you're getting ahead of time. ...
