Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Somerville
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 28, 2013

Two words: dirty linens. After initially being pleasantly surprised by the hotel we went to our room only to discover that the sheets had disgusting marks on them. I called the front desk and they moved us to another room that also had stained linens. Since it was after midnight and the second room's sheet stains appeared to be from some sort of oil as opposed to bodily fluids, we chose not to move again. Regarding the rest of the hotel, apparently the pool doesn't open until whenever the lifeguard decides to get to work, so if you're planning on swimming laps before getting ready for the day, consider doing something else instead. Once the lifeguard DID open up the pool, he didn't seem to stay in the pool area. Also, buyer beware, they charge you $2 for the coffee in the lobby and it's bitter and burnt. I don't remember the last time a hotel charged for coffee in the lobby, but if I'm going to pay for it, I want it to at least be drinkable. All in all, I would not go back. ...

Great hotel and friendly staff. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The downside is the hotel is not located near many places within walking distance. Depending upon what you want to do, plan on cabbing it to the typical locations a business traveler or tourist would frequent in the area.

The staff was helpful and forward thinking. When we needed the bus stop, they gave us the correct information. when we came in from being out late, they made sure our room key worked without us asking.

Nice hotel , friendly staff. My only complaint was that I could hear the people next door early in the morning.
