Holiday Inn & Suites Orlando Universal

Overall, the hotel,was great, perfect room for the parks, we had a suite with a kitchenette and our son had his own room. The maid service was definitely lacking, it could definitely have been cleaner.

The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff were nice. It is located right outside where you enter the drive to Universal Resort. Took us 5 minutes to get to parking. Great hotel overall. We would stay again in an instant.

My daughter loved the pool. Everything was very clean and orderly. The staff was very nice and allowed early check in for no additional charge. If you are going to Universal studios Orlando, this is one of the best places to stay.

Walking distance to Universal Studios, and lots of restaurants. Hotel staff was very friendly and explained all the services that were available to us, including a shuttle to Universal if we didnt feel like walking and also shuttles to Disney World! Overall a great experience, definitely will stay again.

Great location, close to everything, and we were upgraded for free to a huge suite by the hotel upon check in. Its easy to find just off the highway and not far from anything (Florida Mall, walking distance to Universal Studios, short drive to Disney and SeaWorld, and very close to Outlet stores). Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was literally across the street from the entrance to the Universal parking entrance. There was a TGI Fridays that joined the hotel. The location was convenient to the turnpike, I4, and 528 to port canaveral. It was only about a 5 minute drive to international drive. The hotel was clean and appeared to have been recently updated. I would stay there again.

Excellent location, clean rooms, very friendly staff. Nice pool, well maintained. Watch out for the Guest Services attendance. They put on a high pressure sales pitch. I just asked for directions to the laundry room and the lady asked me a million questions trying to sell me a vacation package. the worst thing about the motel is there is no free breakfast. There is an attached TGI Fridays and our experience was NOT good. Our first (and only) trip there was for a Sunday breakfast. They have a gross buffett. Even though they had very few items to choose from, they were out of biscuits, gravy, pancakes, and the tongs were laying in the sausage tray. I watched other people come up to the buffett bar and leave after seeing it. (That's what we should have done, too.) We never went back to TGI Fridays for any meal after seeing that! But as for the Holiday Inn itself, yes, I would stay there again. (Just bring your own food, or be prepared to head out to a decent place to eat.) ...read more
