Homewood Suites By Hilton Tampa-Port Richey

I would rate this hotel very highly, I stayed here 2 years ago and left thinking I will be back.

Was a little dissappointed in overall cleanliness,(elevators and halls needed vacuming, baseboards in bathroom dirty, the "fine" details) being a "Hilton" property. Was a great price though for a Suite.

There were only minor things that caused us small inconveniences during our stay, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with. If you are intending on taking advantage of the extended stay amenities of this hotel then make sure you vocalize it to the staff and check everything you intend to use while there. We intended to cook our meals to save money for activities, but only had one functioning burner which slowed the process way down. Our fault for not checking or making the staff aware of our intentions until it was too late, no biggie. They thought we were strange for wanting to do our own dishes and asking for dish-soap for the dishwasher. We really did like this hotel! Close to many great Florida state parks. A couple of nice small white powder beaches nearby too. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area as well. Nice area as alternative to the theme parked areas of Florida. ...read more

Very nice - we enjoyed our stay

Hotel is an excellent place to stay and comfortable.

When I entered the hotel I was extremely pleased. Everything was immaculate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As I entered my room I thought it was neat and clean. The bathroom sink was clogged and when the water reached the drain black hair or dirt came pouring out of the hole. It took awhile for the water go down. The shower in the morning took a long time to get hot. There was no exhaust in the bathroom and the mirrors steamed up. I perspired during the night cause the air wasn't cooling off. We visit the Tampa area often, but will not return to this hotel.

Good deal at our original price when booked, however when adding one day at nearly 50 dollars more, feel a little short.

This hotel is located in an area with good shops if you need anything(Walmart, TJ Maxx, etc) and restaurants too. We found it was easy access south to Clearwater/St Petes beaches, and to go north to check out manatees, or easy to get into Tampa. Very nice hotel staff. Great breakfasts, clean rooms, you cannot beat the location for access to everything without having to stay in center of Tampa. ...read more
