The staff was great. For a hotel with this star rating I would have expected it to reek of cigarettes. However the room was very comfortable and smelled good. Free Wifi.
Nope, All good.

Quick and easy access from 95 and NYC this hotel is perfect for the buisness traveler who just needs a place to stay for the night. The staff was accommodating (I think its a family run establishment) and the room had everything I needed.

Friendly staff.
No clock in room. Can't walk anywhere from this hotel. Driveway access directly to divided highway. Lots of road noise.

Jacuzzi tub in the room. Larger than most I
have seen.
Lost power around 9:00
PM because of Sandy.

hotel's fault.

We lost power because of the hurricane, but not before hitting the oversized jacuzzi tub in the room. Plenty of parking. No close eating places, except 7-11 2 blocks away. Room was large and very clean and quiet. No elevators to the 2nd floor, but the gentleman at the desk offered to help the person in front of me and myself taking up baggage. He also showed me to the room and showed the jacuzzi operation, even had mood lighting and 2 fountains that were part of the tub. The whole staff there were very friendly. I would go back when they have power. Plenty of TV stations before the power went out. They also have DVD players in the rooms, though the power went out, so don't think they have a breakfast. Since the power was out, they opened the doors to empty rooms and people that had checked out. Of course I peeked in. All rooms looked nice. Does have fridge and microwave. He also said my mattress was new which I didn't check but it was a king and comfortable. The fireplace is one of those cheap things that look like a flame, but this place is worth it. ...read more

Closer proximity to Newark. Safe location if you are new to NJ/Newark.

The hotel staff was warm and excellent. Nice place to stay, better than expected.

Great staff.
NA- I liked everything about Horizon Inn.

The staff are very accommodating and although Horizon Inn is a motel, I felt like it was a luxury hotel. We had the Jacuzzi room and it was nice and comfortable. Very nice.

Owner/staff were wonderful. Hotel is very clean. I highly recommend.
No pool.

We were very happy with the Horizon Inn. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. Hotel room, lobby and halls were immaculately clean. We were very pleased and highly recommend staying here. I only wish that they had a pool (the kids really needed it after two long days of playing baseball at a tournament).

Clean, quiet and close to Newark Airport.
They allow smoking in the hotel. While you can choose a non-smoker room, you can still catch the smell.
