Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Commonwealth

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

STAFF AND RESTAURANTS
NO

Two restaurants were excellent. Close proximity to the subway. Staff, especially the front desk, was excellent.

Beautiful hotel, exceptional staff, and a great location especially if you need to be in the Kenmore Square area. Other Boston neighborhoods are easily accessible by T, car or walking.
$42 for on-site parking - really????

Again, a really beautiful hotel and the staff treat its guests like royalty.

Excellent service, fabulous location, great room
My daughter has food allergies thus we purchase small specialty foods (ex. Soy milk) when traveling however the mini refrigerator in the hotel room stated guests could not store personal items and would be charged for any items moved in the refrigrator

Overall, we loved this hotel. Great location in Back Bay near Green T train station, friendly and excellent service, lovely and clean room. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only negative is the hotel does not permit guests to store any personal items in the mini refrigerator in the hotel room.

From the staff to the location (when I want to be near Fenway) to the room, I loved this hotel... not a single negative.
There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel.

The hotel was in a great location and a very helpful staff.
There was no available parking.

The hotel was extremely clean and of high quality. It is in a great location with several restaurants with walking distance.

The staff was OUTSTANDING
A little classic but that's what boston is! It's historic

The hotel was abosultey phenominal!!! I have NEVER been to a hotel with the level of customer service that this hotel provided. Absolutery amazing, If I ever go back to Boston I am staying at Hotel Commonwealth. No doubt about it. You will NOT regret it, trust me. I was there with two of my friends going to the Pats Ravens AFC championship game, they knew I was from out of town and coming in and they made sure my stay was great. 5 minutes after checking in the room they brought up a case of compimentary local beer for us to start our trip. Best customer service I've ever come across in my life, so accomodating. ...read more

The staff is really friendly and helpful - I requested a roll away bed for my daughter since I could only get a king size bed for my husband and myself. They also supplied at no additional charge a coffeemaker and small refrigerator. We also had no proble
Parking is a premium in Boston, and since it was parent's weekend at many of the colleges when we visited, using the hotel's valet service to park our car at the hotel was not an option. The price for full day parking at the hotel was expensive - $42.00!

This is a beautiful hotel with a well trained staff and clean, comfortable rooms. The staff will accommodate your needs in any way they can. Everyone is courteous and attentive. I requested a roll away bed, coffeemaker and small refrigerator ahead of time, and everything was delivered before our arrival. The valet service was quick and available - I waited 10 minutes to get my car, even though the hotel warns of a 20 minute wait. The Island Creek Oyster Bar in the hotel is a nice restaurant, though pricey and food is in small proportions. I called the hotel ahead of time to get reservations for Saturday night. Parking is expensive - when we went it was $42.00 to park the car for the day. This hotel is also a few blocks for Northeastern University and Fenway Park, so a very convenient location for us when we are visiting our son. My son had no problem hopping on the T line right across the street to get back to his school. ...read more
