Hotel Cornavin Geneve

I stayed in this hotel some years ago, and this was a totally different experience. The hotel has been remodeled to a high standard. It is an excellent value, and far better than most in the expensive city of Geneva. It is virtually next to the railroad station, ideal for traveling by train or plane.

Hotel Cornavin has the ultimate convenient location for business travelers, right across the street from the Cornavin train station. Rooms are clean and relatively spacious for a Swiss hotel. The beds are low to the floor as Swiss beds usually are. Breakfast is offered in a large room on the top floor with good views of the city center, but at CHF19 it's more economical to go to a nearby patisserie or coffee shop. I have been traveling to Geneva twice a year for over 20 years and avoided the Cornavin for a long time because it's a bit higher priced than other similarly rated hotels, but you really do get more for your money here. Great location. We had a 9th floor room with great views which made our stay great. Really well located and good service.

Good clean inexpensive for Geneva place to stay for a quick tour of the city. Right next to the train station made it very convenient
