Solo Traveler
Very difficult to get into property. Only choice for parking was valet at $20. Room not very clean, floor not vacuumed, hairs in tub. Tub wouldn't drain properly. Very few extra amenities for a 4 star (Get the came in a 2 star). No cafe, only high priced restaurant on site. No other eating choices within walking distance. Traffic around hotel terrible.

Hotel Derek is a great hotel in a superb location. The staff are friendly and the hotel is clean and hip. The valet parking is $20 and the only parking option, and a complete nightmare. The attendants were very unorganized and had it took more than twenty minutes to retrieve our vehicle.

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It should not be listed as a four star. The road noise made it difficult to sleep.

The room was great except for the sliding door to the bathroom. It did not shut all the way, and was on tracks outside the door jamb not like a traditional pocket door.

This hotel does not appear, in my estimation, to be a 4 star hotel. Our room was rather dark, and dated, and the mattress was not an up to date quality one. I noted that under the rim of the toilet it was noticeably unclean. There is no self parking. Parking charge is high. No complimentary coffee in the lobby. Room service menu is very pricey with an added surcharge not noted.
