Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Phillips

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

All of the above!
We would have preferred a bigger bed and a bedside table on both sides of the bed!

With very little imagination you could picture yourself Stepping into a hotel As they must've been like in the 1930s.
The valet parking was a little bit frustrating. The truth is, had i not been on a schedule, the valet would not have been a problem at all.

The hotel is an older structure and it reminded me of what it must've been like in the 1930s with the jazz music drifting up from the bar, In the background, and all the old mahogany Accents/trim and furniture from that era. It was easy, for me anyway, to picture Dillinger or Lucky Luchiano And crew posted up in lobby Reading the paper and smoking their cigars. Like I said it takes a little bit of imagination.. Anyways, the location is excellent Being downtown and close to some excellent restaurants and theaters As well as several museums. Do yourself a favor and order room service for breakfast and try the French toast. The Best I have ever had. This is a spot that I would recommend to my family and friends, No doubt. ...read more

THIS HOTEL IS SO CLOSE TO ATTRACTIONS DOWNTOWN
I REQUESTED A ROOM ON ONE OF THE UPPER FLOORS AND IT SEEMED LIKE THEY DIDNT EVEN TRY TO FULFILL THIS REQUEST.

The staff was wonderful! Everyone was so friendly and anything we needed they took care of right away. The rooms were so nice, loved the high ceilings and crown molding! Very beautiful historic hotel!

what i dont like about this hotel is when you check in they place a hold on your chartge card for 31.00 and then they run the purchase for 31.00 the parking is 18.00 a day after i checked out i should be issued a credit back to my card and have not reciev

eved a refund yet .this morning i got a text on my phone where they are putting a hold for 18.00 dollars on my card again .this is not the first time this has happened i think this is wrong and should not be done.

The rooms were great, it had a historical feel to the location. The room had an old fashioned mail slot, old fashioned elevators and extravagant architecture. The staff was incredible giving our kids a gift bag when we entered.
The only two negatives was the parking cost and no swimming pool. Parking options were either valet for $18 or a ramp for $14, I chose the valet but this raised the effective cost of the hotel more. We really missed having a pool on our trip!

This hotel is near the convention center and within vicinity of attractions, but it is not the most convenient hotel for vacationers. Travelers should plan accordingly since you will be unable to walk to Crown Center or Country Club Plaza, you will need to drive or grab a cab to get to these areas. For families the hotel does not have a pool, there is little to keep the kids entertained other than the television in the room. With all of this said the hotel is a great piece of history, visitors can enjoy great architecture from another era. The staff is great -- you'll be well taken care of at this hotel for sure. This hotel would be a great location for business travelers or those attending an event at the convention center. If your vacationing just make sure that you are comfortable navigating from downtown to the surrounding areas and leave your swimsuits at home! ...read more

Very classic hotel with well-appointed rooms, friendly staff and beautiful decor.
The athletic room could've been a bit nicer and some of my towels were frayed at the ends. Not a big deal, but little things I noticed.
