Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Quartier Latin

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

You can't be the location, that is the reason we booked it! located on a main strip with nightlife and restraints.
No, elevator all stairs, wifi spotty at best. Very small.

We booked this hotel because of the location. We went into it knowing it was a cookie cutter hotel. The only main draw I had was that it said to have free wi-fi and the only place it worked was on the front porch sometimes. When walking everywhere in Montreal all day and then coming back to the hotel it sucked to have to walk up 4 flights of stairs. That was minor though. Over all, it was a nice stay for the money involved. We didn't plan on staying in the hotel anymore than just to sleep so it was all right. If you plan on spending more time in the hotel, I wouldn't book here. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay and in an excellent location. This is a great hotel! ...read more

The location is one of the best in Montreal if you're looking for night life and good food.
It was commensurate with the price. Nothing bad to say.

Friendly and helpful for traveling.
Slightly cheap when it comes to carpet, bedding no elevator.

Great location, friendly staff and helpful for locating tourist attractions. Parking on street not recommended but private parking lot behind hotel at library was affordable and easy to park and enter in and out.

I
liked that I spent no more than one night at this hotel.
Freezing, cramped, incredibly rude staff, constant noise, terrible smell. I could go on.

This place was an economy hotel. We knew that going in. But we expected to at least be treated in a civil manner, and to at least experience our night of sleep without chattering teeth due to the lack of heat. Listen - we chose this hotel because it was cheap. We weren't expecting anything save the two points mentioned above. But this is Montreal in the winter. It was negative 30 (F) outside, and the heat in the hotel itself never reached over 40 degrees. It was stupidly cold. There are other places that charge roughly as much and provide much more (Howard Johnson's, Days Inn, Motel 6, etc.). Not to mention the fact that there was no parking, incessant noise from the giant strip club next door and that the staff was incredibly rude. Go somewhere else for about 10 dollars more. You'll be glad that you did. ...read more

The staff was very helpful with giving information about the area in which the hotel was located.

The staff was very helpful with everything. This included information regarding a nearby supermarket and using the Metro to get to the train station.
