Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Royal New Orleans
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 26, 2013

This hotel is a beautiful, old, authentic, romantic building in the heart of the french quarter. Our room was beautiful with chic decor and a gorgeous bathroom. We had to park in the paid parking ($20 for 24 hours) but it was just a quick walk to the hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and overall we had a fantastic stay. The only caviet is that they will charge a $150 deposit upon check in that will be dropped back in your account "3 to 5 days after checkout" but it's worth it to stay in this beautiful treasure of a hotel. And the deposit was returned to my card the evening of our check out :) we partyed all sat night on Bourbon and when we came back to our hotel the streets and inside was very quiet so no noise to put up with. overall we had a fantastic stay. ...

This hotel was at a convenient location. We needed a place to crash for the night period, as such it was okay, clean and functional, but certainly not a pleasant room to stay in. The size of a closet, it was seemingly an afterthought built into an old hallway. There were three windows about 12 from the floor. Extremely claustrophobic. However, the bed was comfortable and it was clean. Would have appreciated a hair dryer which was not provided. ...

The room was comfortable and lovely, the wood floors beautiful. There was no elevator, pool or restaurant. Sound was a problem. We could hear everything through the walls and every step on the wood floors. We could hear someone in the next room snoring. Each night we were awakened by people coming up the stairs at all hours, and the person in the room above us sounded like a horse walking around. The noise was bad, The first night we arrived we had a very hard time finding a place to park and when we did it was on a cross street across from the front of the hotel. We asked the staff if we were safe parking in that space, and were told yes. We ended up with a parking ticket. Next trip we will stay at one of the large hotels with valet parking and a parking garage. I would not recommend this hotel. ...
