Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Viking

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The area where the sink was was a little small and with 3 women that was a little tight space.

The Viking is a wonderful hotel situated within walking distance to the Newport attractions, downtown, the mansions, the cliff walk, the ocean etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and the beds very comfortable.

Huge bang for the buck!

Hotel is amazing! Usually expensive, but if you can get a deal well worth the stay.

High class romantic inn only a couple blocks from the waterfront!
While not directly on the waterfront, it only a 5-8 min walk down the hill to the waterfront.

This is one of the nicer inns in the downtown area of Newport. Only a short 5 - 8 minute (1/4 mile) walk down hill to the waterfront and all the shops. Great restaurant, lounge and public area! Room was absolutely wonderful with very comfortable bed, nice linens and super-luxurious comforter. Off-season rates were unbelievable for this hotel, and even valet parking was cheap in off-season. We will be staying here again for another romantic weekend! ...read more

Very quaint and charming, yet with all the amenities of a large hotel.
They charged $3 per K-cup for coffee in the room! Ridiculous.

Decor in public as well as in the room was very nice.
Room was a bit too small.

The Viking hotel is a beautiful old historic hotel with plenty of ambiance. We stayed in the original section which was lovely. The room was very small however I did expect this so not a big deal. One caveat, we had an excellent rate via Priceline.

Very clean hotel. Friendly & helpful staff.
The bathroom/dressing area were a little tight.

Fantastic hotel. Great location. Convenient valet/self parking. I would definitely visit again and would recommend Hotel Viking to family & friends.

Reception, doormen, rooms excellent.
Both bartenders from each of the bars were so unfriendly, we only stayed for one drink..

With the exception of the bartenders, the experience was exceptional.

Location, the staff was great, the rooms were small, but that's what historic hotels are like with that said they were immaculate and beautiful.
The small rooms and very little closet space.

Charged me unreasonable.
Need to pay the breakfast and parking, partly service.

This hotel should be a good hotel if you only pay less money. While, the service also is been download if book this hotel by bid.
