Good place to sleep, shower, and well you know!

Cheap hotel, in a great part of town. We were only a few blocks away from everything we needed. I really liked the experience.

Fair price.
Skunk smell, elevator seemed about to break.

It is a fair hotel for a fair price. The room was not too bad, clean but small. There was a bad smell in the hallway one morning, which was unpleasant. The elevator seemed about to break, upon reaching your floor, it would make what felt like little drops before the doors would open, letting you leave. ...read more

Location.
A bit bare-bones.

If you want to save money in a very expensive city, stay here.

Good price, clean, convenient
Aging building.

If you're looking for a low price hotel convenient to downtown and Union Square, you'll probably not find any better than this one. It's an older building, with small rooms. The carpets and furniture show some wear, but it is kept clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a good choice if you're looking for a no-frills place to sleep while you tour S.F. ...read more

Price was OK. It was close to where I needed to be for a business meeting.
Dirty carpet in room and no closet to hang clothes.

Great location for a very good price.
There was no parking at the hotel. So that was a tad bit inconvenient.

I would stay there again. It was clean, convenient and inexpensive considering it was one block from Union Square.

The location was advertised as Union Square when it is really in the not so desirable Tenderloin.

Centrally located.
No parking.

The room was small yet cozy. We really didn't spend too much time in there. Except to sleep and shower.

Getting out alive after one night.
Stale smoke, broken AC, missing door locks lousy staff.

I requested a nonsmoking room, two nights through Priceline. The room was foul with smoke as was the rest of the building, there was no AC and the locks on the doors were broken from being broken into. The washroom was horrific. We left after one night. ...read more
