Nice hotel, no room for valet parking, small rooms, and friendly staff.

Business Traveler
An unpleasant place to stay as a first time business traveler to the city. Although in a great location, there were key amenities missing. The internet connection was incredibly slow and often timed out. The front desk did not provide any concierge like services. I was left to research and determine the most appropriate forms of transportation between sites. They pointed me to a computer and said they could not answer those questions. Hotel staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. They upgraded us to a bigger bed without us even asking (because we had a small child). Room was small but that's expected in SF. Clean and modern. Bed was big and comfy. ...read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Powell Hotel very much. The hotel was great, but the busy market street traffic in the early morning wasn't very sleep-in friendly! But that was to be expected in a busy city like SF. We will definitely stay at the Powell Hotel on our next little across the bay getaway! ...read more
