La Quinta Inn Midvale Salt Lake

Nice, middle of the road sort of hotel, the staff was very friendly and the
breakfast was good.

They didn't have an elevator for the 2nd floor. The lobby bathroom was so dirty. Most of the staff was so unfriendly and not helpful. The first morning I tried the boiled eggs were spoiled and I let the lady at the front desk know and she didn't do anything about the ones left. No one ever cleaned the eating area during the whole time it was open. The hallways were smelly and dirty. Very pleasant and clean to stay in with excellent and helpful staff.

Once I found the hotel, we were treated with promptness, courtesy, and professional ness. I found it refreshing after so many other high end hotels treated like we should be grateful for staying with them. I would recommend this hotel to all traveling through the area. ...read more

It met our needs.

For a La Quinta we were quite disappointed. The location was fine. However, the room was tiny! Also, the write-up said indoor pool but that's deceptive. There's a shed-like cover over the pool but it's essentially an outdoor pool. There were tons of dead mosquitoes floating on the surface of the water. I think the hotel was really just under-staffed. They were friendly but were just unable to take care of the problems we encountered. We had a shower that would not drain because it was clogged with hair. We told the staff and they said they would take care of it. They never did... When we went down to breakfast right at 8:00, it was extremely crowded and almost all the food and drinks were gone.
