The location of this hotel was ideal for visiting midtown Manhattan.

I don't think I've been in a hotel that was more in need of a makeover / update.

If location and cost are your two greatest influences then this is the hotel for you. This was extremely convenient for visiting the sites of midtown Manhattan (Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building, Times Square, Rockefeller Center), and was much less expensive then almost all of the other hotels located similarly. It was across the street from MSG.

The rooms were old and tired, no internet, no plugs in the bath.

The rooms need to be refurbished, just a place to put my head down, wouldn't want to hang around there. The lack of in room WiFi was inconvenient. tiny, low lit room-faucets dripped constantly, air condition didn't work, and the front desk service was horrible.

We had to wait over 20 minutes in line to check in since there were only two people on staff. Finally getting to the room, found there to be only 2 desk lamps for lighting, bathroom faucets to be dripping constantly, barely any water pressure, housekeeping would only leave 2 sets of towels a day, and the AC was not blowing cold air! Opening the windows was OK until the weekday arrived along with nightly construction crews! The chair under the desk made it impossible to walk around the bed to get to bathroom. Nothing.

Room needs remodeling, paint, space, needs cleaning, dusty all over, stinks, over all the room is like a motel.

The hotel is frustrating, old ugly looking hotel with lots of staff walking around like zombies, unhelpful and snootys.
