The pool area was the best feature of this hotel.
Tub filled while showering, room smelled bad, fire alarm screaming at 7:30 am.

Newberry Michigan is a beautiful area however hotels leave you with limited choices. When we went to our room after check in it smelled pretty pungent. I am not a complainer so we let it go. That night while showering the tub began filling. The drain must have been clogged and it was draining very slowly. The following morning the smoke alarm began to scream at 7:30. It startled us and we weren't sure if there was really a fire or not. We felt the hotel door for heat before opening to realize that all was fine. We went to check out some sites and when we returned to our room late morning our room key would not work. I sent my son to the desk to see if he could get a new key and she said that she only had us in for one night. We said we would leave feeling relief that we didn't have to spend another night there. Very disappointing. We did love the area and will be making an annual trip there however will not be staying at this hotel ever again. ...read more

I did not like anything about this hotel.
The hot tub shot out brown junk.

The hotel blamed our computers when the internet was not working. We took our computers to another hotel and were able to access the internet there. We paid extra for a hot tub in our room, except the hot tub shot out brown junk. ...read more
