The hotel charged us an $ 11per day resort fee on top of the fees we paid. This would have bumped us into another category on our bidding had we realized we had to pay extra. We had bid once before and stayed at a better hotel near the convention center for at least $25 per night less with no resort fee and we had been extremely happy and impressed with that deal at the Renaissance. The room was very dirty. The front desk was not very helpful. Also, when we checked in we told them that the two of us just got engaged and they gave us a room with two beds!

If not for the ashtray situation this is a nice hotel for the price. The exra charges are not good.Overall a nice place.

Traveling as Couple
It was above average, we liked the room and the large TV in the room. The view was nice. I am a non-smoker, so it was hard to get away from the smoke when in the casino. If someone was near the entry to give better directions when leaving the hotel it would be nice. We saw many others do this, left the hotel to go outdoors and cross the bridge but then had to reenter the hotel to use a ramp inside the hotel to get out to the over passes. It would be nice if the ramp was better posted. I did not care for the resort fee. If you are going to charge something extra put it all in one price, don't get me on a rate, then add tax, and then once I show up you add a resort fee. Especially in the winter, there was no way I was going to use the pools but had to pay the resort fee. Terrible. ...read more

Group Traveler
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Entertainment was around every corner! I had a great time at this hotel! I will be back!
