A "great find" with a "beautiful view of the Chrysler Building", this "upscale boutique" offers "wonderful free breakfast", a "fabulous" on-site restaurant and "plenty of videos" for the kids, but best of all is the "fantastic location" in lower-Midtown Manhattan "near the Empire State Building"; reviewers praise the "courteous" staff and "charming atmosphere" that's like a "small French country inn's", but admit the "clean" rooms and closets are "cramped."

Friendly and helpful staff, clean comfy room. Breakfast included.

They made a mistake on my bill at check out, but it was taken care of promptly.

Very nice hotel. Close to subway station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice.

They charged us for a phone call we did not place.

Within half block of subway 6 line, small quaint lobby, small quaint restaurant/bar with gas log fireplace. Complimentary breakfast is OK: banana, apple, English muffin, pastry, bagel, toaster, cereal, yogurt, juice, milk, bad coffee though. The staff was generally friendly.

Room was too small, uncomfortable and noisy, vacuuming outside rooms began at 8:00 am.

The hotel was in a good location but that was it's only plus considering the price for a small room with merely a full size bed for two people. The room was cramped, there wasn't enough room to move around once two carry on bags were in the room, there being only about 18 inches of space between the bed and the walls. ...read more

I liked the free continental breakfast.

The coke machine had cokes which expired back in June 2008.

Close to the subway, great complimentary continental breakfast, room had much more room than other rooms in NYC I have stayed in. Allowed me to check my stroller every night and leave my luggage there on the last day until I left for the airport. Friendly staff, allowed early 09:45 check-in.
