Holiday Inn Weirton

Nice hotel and will return.

This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had. We arrived around 5:00PM and were told immediately by the rude kid at the front desk that our request for a non-smoking room could not be met. My wife can not tolerate smoke odor, so we decided to at least look at the room. The hotel was under renovation and it was not appealing at all as we went upstairs. When they opened the door to the room it reeked of cigarette smoke and there was only one bed. We returned to the front desk and told them that the room was unacceptable. The girl at the desk said sorry, thats all we have. She refused to give us a refund. We went next door to the Baymont and obtained a room. We did go back to the Holiday Inn to eat at Undos which was good. When I went back to the Baymont and checked room availability at the Holiday Inn, I confirmed that they did have the type of room that we had asked for available. ...read more

This is a nice hotel with great staff and wonderful locaiton and restaurant.

I wish they would have blocked off the front part of the rooms for availability due to the maintenance being done to the 3rd floor. We could not rest in our room due to the noise. Other than that, the staff was nice, the lobby was roomy, and the restaurant was clean. ...read more

The hotel was definitely not a 3 star hotel. It was old, dingy and dirty. Surprisingly, the rooms were nice though. The hotel entrance was under construction, so hopefully that means it is getting some updates. ...read more

I can only rate it a 2 star even after the construction. It should not be a 2-1/2, because Hampton is usually a better choice and they are normally 2 star.

The hotel is dirty, the furniture is old, and it smell like an overflowing ashtray.
