This hotel was for a quick overnight stay but was surprisingly nice for what we paid. It had new carpet, new air conditioning, a frig and microwave. The bed was stiff and they only gave enough shampoo for a mans short hair, but it was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and accommodating. ...read more

This Hotel is about 5 miles north of the main Emporia exit on 95. Basically in southern terms while the other hotels might be in the 2000's decade, this hotel is a flashback to the 70's and 80's. Restaurants, fast food, etc. this is not the place because you are going to have to travel about 5-10 miles to get to it. If you eat before you get here, and are looking for a cheap place to stay, I would recommend it. The rooms seemed clean, keep in mind the 70/80 decor. ...read more

This was the worst hotel I have ever experienced. It was one overlowed toilet from being condemned. It was a drug ridden, window broken, rat sheltered hideous of an establishment and you should be humiliated. I actually spent 5 disgusting minutes in the room and had to go somewhere else and paid full late night price, but well worth it. Though everyone is understandably leary of the 2 1/2 and 2 stars, I have always told them about my 2 and 1 star experiences. I cannot risk the humiliation of someone trying out a lower star either out of economy or location. ...read more

The night staff was very nice, but all of the polite staff in the world could not make up for the physical condition of the hotel. The furniture, carpet, bedspread, and walls all had stains. It is the kind of motel that is likely often rented by the hour. The hotel across the street was called the Reste Motel. The Reste looked in better condition. I wish I had stayed there. I was looking for a cheap place to sleep for about 5 hours while driving down I-95, and I just feel like that I got ripped off. It was one step above a youth hostel for 5 times the money. Also, a nearby train ran at least a couple times throughout the night waking me up. ...read more

I am sorry to report that this hotel was completely unsatisfactory. The advertisement showed a nice pool, clean, decorated, and comfortable rooms. The reality was the pool was not opened this year, the room was shabby and the faucets did not work. (knobs broken) The carpeting looked like it had survived a flood, and the walls showed signs of water damage as well. The exterior was in dire need of refurbishing. Numbers had fallen off the doors, and the place was just generally a mess. It looked like a cheap sleazy rent by the hour type of place. My wife was really unhappy with this idea. ...read more
