Its location near the water tower and the view of the tower from the room.
Being next to Northwestern Hospital, sirens went on all night.
This is an elegant old hotel in downtown Chicago. Right on Michigan Ave, right in the heart of the city. Fantastic.

If you're looking for Michigan avenue, the location is perfect. Bed was comfortable.
$50 per night for parking. Was under the impression there was a cocktail hour - not on the weekends!
The location is great if you're looking for Michigan avenue. The hotel is old, but had a lot of character. We had a standard petite room - it overlooked Michigan avenue and was small, but clean. We were disappointed to learn the manager's cocktail hour was only during weekdays. Parking is $50/night; it was either that or checking into a parking ramp ($13 for 20 mins or less!). ...read more

Medical examiner seal on the door down the hall. When I asked to be moved to another floor the hotel staff was not very pleasant.

Comfortable and sheek.
I had to upgrade my room from what I booked.
The hotel staff was very helpful and polite,. the hotel lobby was beautiful and as was the room.
