It was like time travel - a 1979 hotel in 2009 - from the decor, to the smell, to the amenities and to the thoughts on what a continental breakfast was. I liked the location right next to the Freeway and next to a quiet subdivision. It just wasn't very welcoming when you walked in the room. Smelled musty, the carpet was filthy. It was okay for just a one night stop over.

I guess I can say it was ..... OK.

Took four rooms to get one that was reasonable with no barking dog, non smoking, door that would open with the card.

The young lady at the desk was watching television and had her bare feet on the desk when I approached her to ask a question. She knew nothing about the location of the hotel with nearby towns. She was barely more helpful than a rock and exhibited no business sense in her casual dress and manners. The breakfast waste basket was full and she made no attempt to clear it. We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was easy to find, and we especially liked the breakfast being part of the package.

Low price, good place to say if all you need is a place to sleep.

The Motel is located right off the hwy easy off and easy on ramps. The rooms are clean. The staff is very knowledgeable about surrounding areas. The manger is always on site where you can talk to him for directions or other info you may need the coffee is great in the mornings with waffles, syrup and jam with cream cheese. They don't mind talking with you if you prefer company while you eat or they will let you eat alone if you prefer. They are very customer & pet friendly there in Maryville IL. ...read more
