Considering its "roots in Oahu's history" and a "golden" location on the estate of Hawaii's last princess, steps from the "world-famous Waikiki beach" and "in the center of the action", it's too bad this hotel is "kind of dumpy" and the "outdated" rooms seem "stuck in the '80s"; still, the "top floors offer a view of the ocean", the staff is "friendly" and guests can eat in a "lovely" dining area or "wind down with a mai tai" watching "nightly entertainment."

Very near to wikiki beach.
Unfriendly staff.

Nice hotel room, in their website they mentioned $20 per day as parking charges but at the hotel they charged $25 per day upon asking the staff, she said she needed printout for the same else $25/day will be charged. Very nice/busy area if people enjoy crowds they will enjoy this area. ...read more

Nice hotel with non smoking and quiet rooms. Hotel staff provided super superior service.
My room was on the 6th floor, a driveway with the property next to the hotel had a lot of truck deliveries when backing up emit loud beeping noise.

My room did not face ocean, but for the price I was quite happy.

Great location for the hotel, and although I didn't get an ocean view, I was quite pleased with the value for the money. The rooms look old, but they are clean. The bed was comfortable and clean. Maybe a minor point, but both the iron and ironing board cover needed replaced. I'd definitely stay there again, and I'd recommend it for people on a budget. Parking structure did not have an elevator.

There may have been upgraded rooms but the standard room we were in was small, very noise, luke warm hot water, and minimal water pressure.
