Your Sea Mountain bungalow is ideally situated moments away from the legendary black sand beach. Just a half hour from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Experience the excitment of volcanoes, crashing surf and lava flows from a relaxing, tropical setting. Sea Mountain is a non-smoking property. The Association of Apartment Owners (AOAO) at Colony I at Sea Mountain just approved the repairs of all the resorts walkways and sidewalks, starting November 15, 2009 and lasting a couple of weeks. We do not yet have the details or a timeline for the project, but we anticipate there will be construction equipment, noise and dust. The room was comfortable & the staff was friendly. The view and the location were great for our three day stay.
I was very satisfied. The view of the ocean was great. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean.

Beautiful grounds and remoteness from crowds.
Cold swimming pool and distance to grocery & restaurant.
Hotel is situated near the extreme s. End of the big island. 26 miles from Kilauea volcanoes visitor center. No crowds, but the nearest mini-grocery was 5 miles away. One bedroom unit was spacious, well equipped and clean. View was great over a golf fairway to the ocean. (Not all the units have unobstructed views.)
