The hotel is the nicest one on Ali'i drive, in the center of Kona. The decor has a 70's feel but the hotel is clean and staffed by friendly people. We were upgraded at no cost to a ocean view room in the main tower. ...read more

The hotel is a good value at the Priceline bidded price, but not at the hotel price on your regular site or others. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the view and location, next to restaurants and shops of Kailua Kona. We were in the bay tower. The alii tower has more upgrades, such as flat screen TV. ...read more

I stayed only one night but the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The ice machines were located on the 2nd floor and we were staying on the 5th floor, inconvenient.

As a resident in the islands, this would be my first and last time we will stay there. Would not recommend it to family or friends. For sure this is not a three star hotel.

Excellent location in Kona for walking to shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and were helpful with our upgrade request. Rooms were well maintained if not a little dated.

Solid hotel for the money. They make a real effort to give discounts for the luau (25% for 2) and Don the Beachcomber's restaurant (20%).

An older hotel but for the most part well maintained. Staff was pleasant and room comfortable. Ocean front but not beach front(most of the Big Island has a rocky coastline). Still a beautiful setting and a small sandy area set up next to a gorgeous swimming cove with tropical fish swimming around. There is a Luau several times a week that is fun, not as expensive as some but offers a good first Luau experience. ...read more
