Clean room, nice pool area, good breakfast

although we inquired about whether all facilities were working,before booking, we were disappointed that the sauna wasn't when we stayed there.,

Easy to find for a first time visitor. Very clean room. Excellent staff.

Broken lamp in our room and loose door handle on bathroom.

Older hotel but nicely layed out. Would recommend to travelers who are looking for a clean place to sleep but do not need a fancy expensive room.

The American Inn does an "outstanding" job on breakfast.

Stained sheets.

I have stayed numerous times at the American Inn in Hayward WI. They always have an excellent breakfast. This was the first time I was disappointed with the room. We had a Jacuzzi in the room, and we were not provided any extra towels for that. The room had two towels and one bathmat both nights. The bed sheets and pillow cases had several old blood stains. The dusting and washing of walls etc had not been kept up. There is a sauna in the pool area, but each time we have been there it has not been in working condition. I have always been happy in the past with the American Inn in Hayward and was just surprised that things had not been kept up and cleaned since our last stay. ...read more
