This "upscale family-vacation" "mega-resort" provides relaxation with its "secluded, grassy" grounds and "lush landscaping", yet is also "close to shopping, restaurants and all the action" of Scottsdale; there's a water park and "fabulous swimming pools" for the kids, and an "unbelievable spa" and a "bar with live entertainment" for adults, though some sniff at the "generic" rooms and public areas that "need updating."

The hotel staff was polite, friendly, and helpful.
There was a charge to use the Internet. Even Starbucks gives free Internet access.
The friendly staff gave us a free upgrade and an invitation to a drink and hord'oeuvre party that evening. We were also given a 1:00 checkout with no problem.

Great service, convenient, beautiful, cultural.
My room was a little cramped.The view wasn't great. Not much privacy on the balcony. But for the price I paid, it was fine. Resort fee was a surprise.

The space is well defined and the signage makes it easy to move around.
There is no internet access unless you pay a $5 charge for a few hours access.
The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful golf course and lives up to it's resort status. The golf course is not priced to play however. The cost of playing should be adjusted to reflect that you are a hotel guest. ...read more
