Budget Host Inn Manistique

If all you need is an inexpensive place to sleep this is it. If you are looking for amenities, look elsewhere. This is my second stay here so it isn't all bad.

I am just used to a little nicer motel with at least a continental breakfast with juice, and bagles or donuts, cereal etc.

Not very friendly, small rooms, road noise.

Good for a nights sleep.

The room was very clean and the woman in the office was kind and told me about the family suite they have (for future visits). She told us about the pool rules and offered use of her pool towels so we didn't have to get our own beach towels wet. The hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was our 2nd time at this location. and will use it again.

It was ok for a mom-pop type hotel. We should have gotten more info before booking. Would not go there again.

Budget host is outside the town of Manistique. It was easy to locate, but by itself, no direct view of the Lake. The swimming pool is outside, and we arrived around 9 pm, to find that the pool was already closed for the evening. The check out time is 11 am and the pool did not open until 11am, very shady way of getting us in by offering a pool and then making it inaccessible. I often like to swim a few laps to stretch out after a long drive. I would recommend not paying more for the pool, like we did, unless you arrive early enough to enjoy it. ...read more
