Located "far up the Strip", this "Egyptian-themed" establishment is "arguably one of Vegas' most impressive hotels", with "slanted-wall rooms" (in the pyramid section), "funky diagonally inclined elevators architecturally" and a "light that shines from the top" at night; alas, all the other amenities are "rather average" (except for the "impressive spa") and service is "nothing special", so most say it's "amusing for a one-night stay" only, unless you're traveling en famille (pricewise, it's a "pretty good deal").

Value for money although the restaurant was expensive for families.
18% tax on our restaurant bill for 6 people and over.

Bedrooms were okay but hotel itself looked tired. Swimming pool was out of order. Children under 18 were not allowed in spa areas even with their mum.

Gambling instructor.
Dirty.

Needs to be updated. Pyramid rooms were very dated and dirty. Jacuzzi needed fixing, and sharp metal drain ended up slicing my thumb open.

Rooms were quiet.
End of the strip.

I was a little bit hesitant to reserve this room after reading some of the reviews, but I found my room to be quiet, spacious, and clean. I stayed in the pyramid rooms which concerned me because they are located directly above the casino, but once I closed my door, I could not hear any noise from outside. Another comment that I saw questioned the cleanliness of the rooms. My room was clean and well taken care of. Some of the furniture in the room showed some wear, but I think this is to be expected. I think a lot of the perceived cleanliness is derived from the apparent uncivilized pigs that stay there from time to time. While walking to the elevator, I passed a couple of rooms that had apparently ordered room service. They had taken their uneaten food and just thrown it into the hallway. The cleaning crew cleaned up the mess as soon as they could, but I could see how this would make someone question the cleanliness of the hotel. ...read more

Level of activity.

The rooms need new televisions. They were no as easy as they should have been. There were two spots on the wall. This could be the beginning of mildew. There could have been more information about the hotel in the room. ...read more

It is a nice hotel for those who are looking for a 4 star hotel with a good price and the location is little bit far from the main area, but still you can use the Tram to go to the Excalibur and walk to the MGM. ...read more

Parking was full including valet, and check-in wait.

I don't understand how a hotel can have a full parking garage and valet. The hotel was a joke more concerned with the nightclub than the paying guests.

Essentially, it was a place to rest. The room was pretty empty.
