The Broadview Hotel features 30,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. The Ballroom offers 9180 square feet, with beautiful crystal chandeliers and 17 ft. ceilings. It also has the largest mosaic in North America of the history of Kansas designed by a local Indian Artist, Black Bear Bosin. This ballroom can divide into three separate ballrooms. Opened in 1922, this "classy" riverside building "about a mile" from the "shopping and dining in Old Town" has got "great potential", but still "needs another layer of TLC"; rooms are a "crapshoot": some are "huge" and "lavishly decorated", but others are "hostellike" and "barely acceptable" (with "very old" beds and a/c and heating that "don't work at the same time"); as for the "inconvenient" parking, it's across a "four-lane road" in an "unsecured garage."

A well maintained historical hotel in a good downtown setting.

Parking was a bit awkward, although valet parking was also available.

The hotel staff was very helpful and provided information about the hotel and downtown area. The restaurant/pub was busy and well used with good food and beverage selections. Location, close to downtown.

The room lacked comfort. Bed was old and hard, pillows were uncomfortable. Bathroom required repair.

The Broadview Hotel is well positioned in downtown Wichita. It is in desperate need of upgrading. The bed and bedding is dated and things such as toilets and faucets are falling apart. They have plans for remodeling. I wouldn't return until after the money is spent on this hotel. ...read more

The pillows were comfortable.

The hotel parking was across the street, they could at least have valet service. Water in the bath tub ran brown, shower was very small.

Upon arriving at the hotel, no one offered to help unload my luggage. I had to drive across the street and walk down a garage with bags and carry them up to my room. They could at least offer valet or have someone help unload at the front door and watch your bags while you park across the street. Once I entered the room it was musty and very hot. The bath tub ran brown/red muddy water. The shower stall was very small. The towels felt like paper towels. I would never stay at this hotel again. Not only that but my second night there, my room key was deactivated. Vending machine only took change, not bills! Not a three star hotel. ...read more
