Senior Traveler
Due to air France strike, we had to take a train which took us to Gare De Lyon right where the hotel is situated so it was very convenient. Many eating places, easy to take a train and a wonderful staff who could speak English very well and understood our needs. ...read more

Family with Teens
The hotel does not have the Paris charm you may expect. But it is close to the metro. There are also many restaurants close by. If you're just a couple, then it's fine. If you're a family, then be prepared to book more than one room. We got stung with this big time. ...read more

Traveling as Couple
The room was a reasonable size for 2 people and the amenities were also reasonable. The chief virtue of the hotel is its location literally next door to the beautiful old train station, Gare de Lyon; a few blocks from interesting areas of Paris (off the typical tourist path); and close to one of the best food markets we have ever seen (on Rue D'Aligre). ...read more

The hotel was clean, comfortable and next to the train/Metro station. As a room was available, I was able to check in early in the morning.

This is not an especially classy hotel or location. Rooms resemble what you would find at a down at the heels Red Roof Inn or Motel 6 at the side of the highway. It's attached to the train station, so one can hear the trains rumbling in and out at all hours. The worst part about the hotel is that it has a very bizarre set-up for its toilets. The seat" is in the room, but the reservoir is behind the wall and can only be accessed by opening a locked door in the hallway. Unfortunately, the toilets have a habit of running (gushing) water constantly after being flushed, and one has to call the desk to get it fixed every time. I had to change rooms twice, and the toilets broke down twice in a four-day stay. The location is not so bad, and the rooms are fairly spacious and modern." ...read more

Small, dated rooms. More like a super 8 than a three star hotel.

Reading the previous reviews when I booked, I was very skeptical. But everything was good when I got to the room, clean and tidy. No complaints.

Excellent hotel. I made frequent use of the staff's knowledge of Paris and the Paris subway. Most of the clerks spoke excellent English. The location of the hotel gave easy access by metro to all of the attractions of Oaris and it's suburbs. ...read more

This hotel was a bit too generic for such a district city as Paris. Although they were very courteous and helpful, I might as well have stayed in any American Hotel. I was looking for something with more charm, etc. ...read more
