The front desk staff was very friendly. The hotel rooms are excellent, you can even get WiFi in your room without any extra charges. Overall a great hotel to stay in if you are looking for something close to the airport. ...read more

Most visitors from outside large urban areas might find the neighborhood a bit intimidating if they plan to use the subway 5 blocks away. It is hardly the worst in New York, but not the best. The hotel is a bit segregated from the neighborhood, so it is ideal for anyone using it for its closeness to Laguardia. I would like to stress that we had no issues walking to and from the subway, even at night. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly; the room was fine. The staff refused us our room we selected online. We requested a nonsmoking and handicapped accessible accommodations. We were told because we paid for the room online ahead of time, that we were not guaranteed a room of any kind. We were first directed to a smoking room. Then we were directed to a room with a sofa pull out bed with no real bed in sight. Just imagine they thought we were going to take that. I had to decline both rooms and ask to speak to the manager in order to get the actual room we had reserved online. ...read more
