The family-run Tresa Bay Hotel right on the banks of Lake Lugano is just 30 minutes by shuttle train away from the centre of Lugano.The shuttle train runs every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends.Relax right on the shore of Lake Lugano, only 200 metres away from Ponte Tresa in Italy with its well-known Saturday market.Don't miss the Tresa Bay Hotel's lake-side restaurant, serving pizza and other tasty meals of the Italian cuisine.All rooms face Lake Lugano, offering a marvellous panoramic view on one of the most romantic bays. Superior rooms even give you this beautiful sight already from your bathroom.A small wellness oasis with access to the lake, seminar and meeting facilities, a nice sun terrace complete the comprehensive offer of the Tresa Bay hotel.

Enjoy the marvellous terraced bar, restaurant and pizzeria on Lake Lugano, open 360 days a year, which is easily accessible for disabled guests (lake-side entrance).The bar is open from 09:00 to 23:30. Snacks and sweets are also available. The restaurant is open from 11:30 to 14:00 and 18:30 to 21:30, and has a large choice of dishes. The Pizzeria is open from 11:30 to 14:00 and 18:30 to 22:30. It is closed on Tuesdays.A rich breakfast buffet is served daily from 06:30 ( 07:30 on Sundays) to 10:00 in the terraced restaurant.Room service is available from 07:30 to 22:30. For warm dishes please refer to the restaurant/pizzeria opening hours.The restaurant is also available for business lunches, as well as for family events and large banquets and wedding parties (maximum of 160 seats).Half board is available if you stay at least 3 nights.
Area Information
Ponte Tresa is an ideal starting point for many excursions, sports and leisure activities as well as for shopping. Within a 5-minute walk you reach the Italian border, where every Saturday a very well known market takes place and where shops are open also on Sunday morning. A shuttle train takes you every 15 minutes to the heart of Lugano (Saturday and Sunday every 30 minutes).
