Hotel Information
This 19th century country house, situated in the Alcanar Oasis in the south of Tarragona, was used by Alfonso XII as a summer retreat. Here, within this enclosed area, encircled by orange groves, you will feel like royalty. Within these peaceful surroundings, you can go for a cycle ride, swim in one of the 2 outdoor pools and play a game of mini golf. Food & Beverage
During low season, the hotel has a restricted menu exclusive to hotel guests. Reservation is required. In high season, the garden restaurant serves dishes with fresh local ingredients. Specialties include freshly caught fish and lobster. Traditional recipes have been given a modern touch, and the a la carte menu includes a variety of deserts. And after a romantic meal, enjoy a coffee or night cap by the open fireplace or on the terrace.

Accommodation is comprised of 3 suites, one junior suite, 4 double rooms and 3 special doubles, all with modern amenities such as soundproofing, air conditioning, satellite TV, phone, mini bar and heating.Of the recently opened special double rooms, one has a sauna, another a massage bath and the 3rd a jacuzzi on the terrace. The Alfonso XII suite offers superb sea views with a terrace. These romantic rooms have a light and airy feel to them, decorated with tasteful modern furnishings, where light textured colours compliment the brown hues of the beamed roofs.
Area Information
Within the vicinity are golf courses, hiking and biking routes and picturesque little towns and historical villages to explore. These include Peņiscola, Morella, Ulldecona and Tortosa. Citrus farms fill the landscape, and the port of Cases d'Alcanar is an important source of fresh fish. The chapel in Remei and the Maestrazgo mountains are also well worth a visit.
