Excellent location, excellent staff, friendly, and helpful.
Nothing.

The hotel is located in a centric location. As we arrived, the staff was helpful and assist us in orienting ourselves with the area. Security was superb, subway was next to the building for rapid transportation. Quiet rooms for resting and internet access was available. For a small fee ($9.95) you can get faster speed, but just to check e-mails the free internet speed was sufficient. Overall, outstanding. ...read more

Clean and
good location.
Noise - loud pipes at 5 AM; terse staff.

Generally good. Clean and convenient. The staff seemed indifferent, uninterested - not to us so much but to the hotel itself. The hotel has a very interesting history and background. I asked questions. Staff couldn't care less. ...read more

The Bellhop and doormen were friendly.
The front desk staff and management. The room was micro sized.

Stay at a budget hotel and get way more. This place was not worth the price. Hidden fees and unsafe parking Leads to industrial old musty rooms.

Excellent location in relation to midtown Manhattan, right next to Amtrak.
Bathrooms didn't look new, but what can you expect for a Hotel built in 1930.

The New Yorker Hotel provides great security, the staff are all friendly and the housekeeping does an excellent job. The hotel offers a lot for convenience, including bag service

Great location. clean rooms.
Outdated style,uncomfortable beds.

I would stay here again assuming I got a decent rate. I noticed it took an unusually long time for them to check people in..about 15 minutes once I was at the desk. Its in a great location and the rooms are very clean, just outdated decor. ...read more
