This unconventional 1st-class hotel is set in the middle of the country's largest palm tree grove, bringing a taste of the Caribbean to Switzerland.Far from any disturbance, this oasis spreads over an area of 27,000 m2. The Albergo Losone satisfies the wishes and needs of all family guests - from toddlers to grandparents - and has been recognised as best Swiss family hotel from 2003 to 2006 by the Sonntagszeitung, a leading Swiss Sunday newspaper.Thanks to the generous planning it is possible to split interests between quiet and activity zones, the latter including the swimming pool, playground, restaurant and bar. As a result it is possible even in the high season to find a quiet spot and perhaps curl up with a good book in the shade of palm trees.

Food & Beverage
A fine meal in our restaurant rounds off the day and our chefs will be delighted to spoil you with succulent Mediterranean dishes. Local Ticino produce is favoured: dairy products and meat from Val di Campo, fish out of Lago Maggiore with vegetables supplied from the Magadino Plain. Wines fitting the splendid meals are ready in the wine cellar, and staff are pleased to guide you where necessary.Local Locarnese families regularly celebrate weddings, christenings or Mother's day in the Ristorante Fontana or in our Sala delle Palme. Happy family sounds of conversation and laughter create an atmosphere of unison.There is also plenty to discover also in the bar, restaurant or Sala delle Palme. The bar is named Sartoria meaning dressmaker's shop and is decorated with tailoring utensils creating a cosy environment. You can easily enjoy the good company until the small hours. The breakfast buffet the next morning is available until noon.
