You're within "walking distance of many restaurants and bars" at this "adequate" "older Downtown" hotel set next to the Convention Center, but that's where the pluses end for many Survey respondents: the rooms, in "much need of upgrading", elicit complaints about "hard mattresses", "moldy showers" and "paper-thin walls", and not helping things is a floor plan that's "similar to a maze", plus the approximately $5 a day it costs to use the "antiquated", awkward parking garage.

Hotel lobby is nice.
Room was not inviting at all, no room service, restaurant not full service.

Probably was nice at one time, run on a minimal staff, not really full service.

The downtown Tucson location was unbeatable.
The air conditioners in the rooms are not good.

When we first arrived, we parked on the guest arrival area at the front of the hotel to check in. We saw that the hotel's parking garage was to the west of the hotel building, and could tell it was an older parking facility. When we walked into the lobby, it was very inviting. It was quite cool inside, which felt good since it was about 100 degrees outside. The lobby has lovely marble floors & has been recently renovated. ...read more

It was a corner room with lots of windows and had an extra air unit to keep it cool. Very comfortable.
Paying for parking, should be free at least on the weekends.

Needs some repairs and bug spraying.

I would NOT recommend this old dingy hotel to anyone. Wish I had a the opportunity to decline this hotel. So many bad reviews and it is still on Pricelines list. Disappointed.

I liked the location and the easy accessibility.
Toilet tissue was not refilled , shampoo was previously used and not replaced, and the female receptionist was rude

Nice location and rooms, but the preparation of the room for the customer was weak.

The price was fine. The restaurant had good service.
Drab rooms, carpet was worn and wrinkled.

This hotel was NOT a 2 1/2 star. It needs to be updated. The air conditioner was extremely loud and prevented you from getting a good night's sleep. I finally turned it off. The carpet in the rooms was worn and the room needed to be freshened up. ...read more
