Carefree Inn Lackland

Good for the Money, convenient location.

We went to Lackland AFB for my son's graduation from basic training and this hotel was right outside the west gate, which made it very convenient for the weekend. When we got there late on Wed. to check-in, the staff was extremely friendly & helpful. The first night the deadbolt didn't work so we switched rooms, the sheets weren't clean and saw a roach crawl across the floor. Its decent, would've been better if there weren't bugs.

An okay place. Will not stay there again. Great because of my sons graduation from Air Force Basic Training.

Rooms were clean and maid was friendly. Many comment on the color of the walls, they were bright, but not offensive. We were here for Air Force graduation and this was an excellent choice for us. Overall, we had a good experience with this hotel, except for them waiting till the last minute to charge us a pet deposit, especially when the two dogs I had with me did no damage, and made no messes. The hotel was what we expected. We had not complaints. The price was more than reasonable. The breakfast was good, everyone was friendly. It has a almost home feeling.
