Nestled in the very heart of Hardy country beside Yellowham Wood, amid 120 acres of farmland and 130 acres of woodland, Yellowham Farmhouse offers peace and tranquility. Containing an abundance of mature flora and fauna in an attractive 2 acre garden, the farm offers spacious and tastefully decorated ground floor rooms. When not taking in the local country air or exploring the numerous Dorset sights, you can relax with a book in the beautiful guest lounge or practice your tennis with complimentary use of the farm's own court.
Room Information
The guest accommodation is situated on the ground floor. It has a beautiful lounge with comfortable sofas and armchairs. The bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Each bedroom has central heating, en suite bath and shower facility, remote-controlled colour television, clock radio, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Each room has been designed with ease of comfort in mind.
Area Information
Dorchester is a happy example of a traditional county town with its bustling shopping precincts, elegant 18th century houses, broad walks and varied cultural life. With much to offer in relaxation and rural charm, there are many places of interest and beauty to visit nearby. Picturesque villages and old towns all featured in Thomas Hardy's novels, mingle amid largely unspoilt countryside. Nearby attractions include: Dinosaur Museum (5 km / 3 miles) - this nationally renowned museum is dedicated to dinosaurs and the fascinating world in which they lived. Exciting and innovative displays complement exhibits of actual fossils, skeletons, and life-size reconstructions. Athelhampton House and Gardens (5.5 km / 3.5 miles) - one of the finest 15th century houses in England, containing many magnificently furnished rooms and Grade 1 19th century gardens. The Jurassic Coast (16 km / 10 miles) - the 153 km (95 miles) strip has become the first natural site in the country to be awarded World Heritage site status by UNESCO.Monkey World (12km /8 miles) - the internationally renowned ape rescue centre set in a 65 acre wildlife park, as seen on television series Monkey Business and Monkey Life. It is Dorset's most popular tourist attraction.
