an $11.50 upgrade for a non-smoking room makes no sense..

I would stay in this hotel again. It met my expectations across the board, and the 2-star rating is a little low. The free indoor parking and the breakfast make this hotel a bargain at the price. In other cities this would be rated higher. ...read more

Loved Everything about the Hotel & Employees

Location very nice - I walked to the drug store recommended by the young lady at the counter in the A.M. as I was having trouble with my camera. Ate at the restaurant across the street as recommended by another lady at the counter - very delicious. The price was great, and was fine for staying a few nights.

Not much breakfast selection, and awkward pillows.

For the price range and location, the hotel was great. Even if the view wasn't the best, or the facilities/food, that didn't matter since the main attraction is the city of Vancouver, not the hotel. The elevator was annoying and inconvenient to use: you had to use a key card.

This hotel was OK overall. My room was clean and nicely furnished. Minor problems as follows: Nuisance with stairs and elevator: Elevator will not work without swiping your hotel room key card. Elevator is sluggish and slow due to stairs. They should tell guests about this at check-in, as many complained in elevator about this minor nuisance. You cannot use the stairs to go to your room! Only elevator, which is slow. Walls between rooms not noise-proofed: I had to listen to a couple arguing very loudly in Chinese for several hours late at night in next room; I finally had to use ear plugs to get some sleep after 12:00 am. ...read more
