• " This is a decent hotel for the money. We liked the location in the old district better than Downtown. Good, safe beach w/ no waves. Definitely a family hotel, which was evident early in the morning with all of the commotion in the pool. Hotel was well maintained and had dedicated staff. Private beach was only semi-private. The cabanas the hotel owned towards the back were nice (and free), but you had to pay to use the umbrellas at the waterline. It was great having a fridge - but brings your own cookware & utensils. No real grocery stores nearby - only convenient mart. Lots of restaurants nearby, not cheap but fresh and good, although they close early around 8 PM. The hotel has a security guard. The area around it seemed safe but a little sad as some hotels are abandoned or nearly empty. "
