• " We had stayed at the hotel years ago (about 8 years ago); it seems to have been updated quite a bit. Although the old world ambience of Mexico still remained; which I really liked. The pool is larger and cleaner, the restaurant was delicious for breakfast. Lunch could be better (too many American entrees). The only issue I had with the front desk staff was that, they weren't the very helpful and I didn't receive my wake-up call on time (it was an hour late)! This was disturbing considering I work in the hospitality business industry. "

• " El Tapatio offers a terrific hilltop panoramic view of Guadalajara. The hotel staff is very friendly. If you are bilingual in Spanish, you will get a good opportunity to exercise your vocabulary there if that's what you want. "
