• " This is a terrific hotel if you are interested in seeing Madrid museums. It is across the street from the Prado, and blocks from Thyssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofia. The Atocha train station is also convenient, and many good restaurants about a 10 minute walk away, while the local area is quiet. Closeness to the Retiro park is also a plus, and the staff is very friendly, English speakers. "

• " We are a senior citizen couple, and found the hotel to be perfect. The location, across the street from the Prado Museum, and near transportation, was excellent. It was clean and efficient, and staff was exceedingly helpful. The only negative was lack of a full service restaurant. It did serve a fine breakfast, but that was expensive. The consistent Lope de Vega theme was educational, and pleasant. Rooms were small, but comfortable. "
